We held our e-safety talk for parents last week and only a few attended. This is a pity as the information that was presented was interesting as well as being a little worrying for anyone with a child accessing the internet by any means. We are uploading the slides from the talk onto the site and urge parents to have a look through them. Please feel free to discuss anything that you find unclear with Mr Heath. The number one message of the night was to keep all devices in a family space so that you can monitor what your children are seeing.
The noticeboard is finally installed. We ordered it when it was first discussed, but then it arrived damaged and so we had to wait for a replacement. Hopefully this will mean that communication issues are eased from now on.
The PTA met yesterday and there are a number of dates coming up. On 2nd March it is World Book day and hope children will return to school in their dressing gowns for bedtime stories. The PTA will be serving hot chocolate for a night time drink.
There will be the first of our Sensory Garden work days on 25th February. The group welcomed Amber Haigh , who has volunteered to oversee the development of this project and she explained our early ideas. These will gradually develop over time, but we will need all the help that we can get to produce something that the whole community can be proud to use.
Check the diary for future dates…there’s a lot going on!
