Hello to all By now parents will have received the letter sharing the sad news that three valued colleagues are moving on at Christmas. We will, of course, miss them enormously, but adverts have been placed to try to find replacements and we will maintain their high standards in coming weeks and months. There is […]
We have had so many problems with our website recently that it it is a relief to have it up and running again. We hope many of you can come along to the Egyptian Museum tomorrow afternoon. It promises to be very entertaining and the children have really been stimulated by their topic and are […]
We apologise that the site was not working for a few days. Our hosting service got into a bit of a muddle with our last payment and didn’t realise that something coming from Somerset County Council was for our account. We hope that our forced silence last week did not cause any issues for anyone. […]
We have made a great start to the term. The children have settled really quickly and are learning well. I hope that my new timetable has not caused any problems for anyone. I am still available at Croscombe on most days when I am not at Stoke – however, there are also some days when […]
Hello everyone Thankyou for those who got in touch to wish me well after my illness last term, I am much better now and raring to go! We heard today that OFSTED are visiting us tomorrow and your children should have come home with letters explaining ways in which you can contribute your views of […]
We had a great Reading Week last week and it was all capped by a fantastic World Book Day. Thanks to all parents who helped their children appear in school in their character costumes. See picture below. Later that day, our Bedtime Stories activity was a lovely affair where children heard 4 different stories in […]
Thanks to all who turned up to help on our increasingly wet work day. We had parents, children, staff and friends – and we all worked very hard! The Sensory garden paths are now really taking shape and huge amounts of hardcore was transported into place. It is all beginning to feel real now. Don’t […]
Thanks to the plucky parents who helped me bring in the slabs on Thursday morning in spite of storm Doris. Thanks to Wainwrights Quarry for delivering tonnes and tonnes of free resources for our sensory garden. They have been wonderful. Thanks to Stowell’s Concrete at Holcombe for paving slabs and edging – all supplied for […]
On Tuesday of half term, workmen were in school putting our new playground markings in place. These are melted onto the tarmac and so we have had to be patients while waiting for some guaranteed dry weather, but they look excellent now they have arrived.
Please come and help us on Saturday 25th February. During half term the first earth moving has taken place and there will be much to do! Wellies and a willingness to pitch in for as long as you can spare are all that we require. The fun starts at 10.00am!
